Expressions of Interest – “Sharing knowledge of the Gippsland Lakes”

The Gippsland Lakes Environmental Strategy supports actions that inform and inspire the community to love and protect the Lakes for the future.

Do you have an idea for a project to help to increase community awareness and appreciation of the Gippsland Lakes environment?

We are seeking expressions of interest or ideas from agencies, groups and community members for projects to help with education and interpretation of the natural environment of the Gippsland Lakes and catchment.

Whether you have a proposal that your group would like to carry out, or a suggestion for someone else to take up, we welcome your ideas.

Proposals will be considered in two categories:

  • Minor projects – up to $10,000
  • Major projects – over $10,000 and up to $50,000 – if your project is in this category, we encourage you to contact us before lodging the application.

Please use the following forms:

Project proposal form – for a project that your organisation wishes to manage (please note the eligibility requirements at the back of the form).
Project idea form – for a project that you think is worth pursuing, but you are not sure who might deliver the project, or it needs further development.

If you have any questions regarding the application or you are unsure of its eligibility, please contact us:
E-mail: info@gippsland lakes.net.au
Telephone: 5150 3509

Applications may be lodged by e-mail and close on Monday 3rd March 2014.

Proposals will be assessed in April and will be subject to Ministerial approval. All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
