Community grants are now open for groups to complete environmental projects that will help improve the health of the Gippsland Lakes.
There is a total amount of $500,000 in funding available for this round of grants, with requirements that larger grant amounts include a high proportion of on ground works.
We’re looking for a range of projects that will help tackle the key priorities for the health of the Gippsland Lakes. Successful projects will need to meet two key criteria:
- The project must directly target a high priority value or threat identified in the Gippsland Lakes Priorities Plan
- The project will make a direct contribution to a priority action identified in the Gippsland Lakes Priorities Plan.
Please download the Gippsland Lakes Community Grants Guidelines for more information about how to apply for the Grants.
Applicants are encouraged to read the guidelines and discuss their proposal with the Gippsland Lakes project team before preparing project applications.
Once you are ready to make your application, please use the Gippsland Lakes Community Grants Applications Form.
Applications close at 8.00am on Monday, 3 April 2017. For more information please review the Gippsland Lakes Community Grants Guidelines and Priorities Plan or call Sean Phillipson on 5150 3579 or Sam Forbes on 5150 3578.
