Community grants are now open for groups to complete environmental projects that will help improve the health of the Gippsland Lakes.
We’re looking for a range of projects that will help tackle the key priorities for the health of the Gippsland Lakes. Successful projects will need to meet two key criteria:
1. The project must directly target a high priority value or threat identified in the Gippsland Lakes Priorities Plan.
2. The project will make a direct contribution to a priority action identified in the Gippsland Lakes Priorities Plan
There is a total amount of $270,000 in funding available for this round of grants, with requirements that larger grant amounts include a high proportion of on-ground works.
Full details of these Community Grants are available in the guidelines. Applicants are encouraged to read the guidelines and discuss their proposal with the Gippsland Lakes project team before preparing project applications.
For more information please review the Community Grant Guidelines and use the Community Grant Application form. If you have further questions or to discuss your project, call Carolyn Cameron on 5150 3582.
