Festival of the Lakes at Lakes Entrance during April has been postponed due to risks around COVID 19 after rapidly changing events over the last week.
Gippsland Lakes Coordinating Committee Chair, Peter Jennings OAM, said while they were disappointed to be postponing the event, he was heartened by the response to the event.
“It’s clear we had a lot of community support for this event” said Mr Jennings. “There was a huge buzz around it and we’re disappointed that it won’t be running in April.
“But the safety of the community at this time has to be our number one priority.
“We’re hoping we will be able to bring this event to the community later in 2020,” continued Mr Jennings.
